Alexandra Peters is part of the University Hospitals of Geneva and World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre and is the lead for research and educational program development for Clean Hospitals, a global network dedicated to making hospitals safer through improved environmental hygiene. Clean Hospitals aims to raise awareness for the role the healthcare environment in respect to patient safety. The group’s goal is to conduct and support academic research, promote inter-disciplinarity, change how healthcare institutions view environmental hygiene, and raise standards worldwide.
