Jesse Heitz is a writer, historian, and doctoral candidate. He has written on a variety of topics for numerous publications, and has presented original research at domestic and international conferences. He recently published his first book, 'Fire Resistance in American Heavy Timber Construction: History and Preservation'. Currently, he's crafting three manuscripts on military, diplomatic, and architectural history.
