International Policy Digest welcomes original, sharply argued work from writers around the world. We publish informed analysis, commentary, and essays on international affairs, politics, economics, security, society, culture, and the other subjects covered across our site. We are open to a wide range of perspectives, including arguments that challenge conventional thinking. What matters is that the work is clear, fact-based, and supported by credible evidence, direct links, or relevant firsthand experience. Before submitting, please spend some time with our recent coverage to get a sense of the publication and the kinds of pieces we run.

Some things to keep in mind with your submission: Original work that has not been published elsewhere. A Microsoft Word document or shareable Google Doc. Please do not send PDFs. Articles generally between 800 and 1,200 words. We occasionally make exceptions when the subject warrants it. Hyperlinks embedded in the text for sources and supporting material. Please do not use footnotes or endnotes. Finally, a clean, carefully proofread draft that is ready for editorial review.

Email your draft to submissions@intpolicydigest.org with “Submission” in the subject line.

If you have not written for International Policy Digest before, please complete our contributor form. Include a concise third-person biography outlining your current role, relevant experience, and areas of expertise.

Every accepted submission is edited for clarity, structure, accuracy, and house style. We may suggest revisions or ask for additional sourcing before publication. Submitting a polished draft helps us review your work more quickly, but acceptance is not guaranteed.
