Akmaral Batalova is a reporter, film producer, and founder of the Al Farabi World Heritage Public Foundation. Born in Almaty, Kazakhstan, she studied mass media and diplomacy in Kazakhstan and Spain, earning a Master’s in International Relations from Complutense University. She covers developments in the Middle East—particularly the humanitarian crisis in Syria—through journalism, documentary filmmaking, and on-the-ground humanitarian work.
