Rep. John Garamendi serves as the senior member of the U.S. House Armed Services Committee and the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. He represents California’s Solano and Contra Costa Counties. Rep. Garamendi and his wife, Patti, are former Peace Corps volunteers who served in Ethiopia. He also serves as co-chair of the Congressional Peace Corps Caucus.
