Joseph Perry is associate professor of modern European and German history at Georgia State University and the author of 'Christmas in Germany: A Cultural History'. His scholarly interests focus on the interactions between politics and popular celebration. Professor Perry is currently writing a book about electronic dance music and the Berlin Love Parade.
