Marta Bocharnikova is a Fulbright scholar at George Washington Institute for Korean Studies (GWIKS). In her PhD thesis, Marta explores the formation of presidential political leadership in South Korea and its influence on South Korea’s policy towards the U.S. Her broader research interests include security in Northeast Asia, South Korea-Russia and South Korea-U.S. relations, smart cities and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
