Timo Kivimäki is Professor of International Relations and Director of Research at the University of Bath, UK. Professor Kivimäki has been a consultant to 11 governments and to several UN and EU organizations. Among these consultancies he has assisted the Russian Foreign Ministry with the development of discoursive strategies for non-military initiatives, mostly in the Middle East. He has also given expert assistance to President Martti Ahtisaari’s work for peace in several countries.
