Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Alejandro Espinosa moved to the United States as a child and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia where he studied International Relations and Romance Languages, as well as Global Studies. In his time at undergrad, he studied six different languages and spent a year abroad in Brazil, working and studying as part of a government sponsored language learning initiative program.
