Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Alejandro Espinosa moved to the United States as a child and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia where he studied International Relations and Romance Languages, as well as Global Studies. In his time at undergrad, he studied six different languages and spent a year abroad in Brazil, working and studying as part of a government sponsored language learning initiative program. He is a certified advanced level Portuguese speaker by both the Brazilian Ministry of Education and the American Council for the Teaching of Foreign Languages. Alejandro is fluent in four languages and plans to learn more. In his time in Washington D.C. Alejandro has interned at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights at the Organization of American States and at NGLCC. Currently, he is also enrolled at the George Washington University, where he is pursuing a Master’s Degree in International Affairs.
