Chris Morris has a background of 33 years in Canadian law enforcement including international assignments with the Special Court for Sierra Leone and the European Union Police Mission in Afghanistan. Chris has been in Kenya since 2015, investigating, researching, and writing about ivory trafficking investigations and prosecutions. He has attended various Kenyan law courts on over 100 occasions while monitoring all major ivory prosecutions since 2013.
