Jonathan Roll is a research fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution, specializing in great power politics, international security and the applications of history for policy. His PhD in International Relations was received from Tel-Aviv University. He also holds a degree in economics, and worked as an economic analyst for several government agencies and think-tanks. Previously, he served for three years as a foreign affairs desk chief at a nationally-distributed news organization.
