Born and raised in Annaba, Algeria, Walid Namane is a senior analyst at The Delma Institute focusing on North Africa. He is also in the midst of completing his PhD thesis at the Centre for Diplomatic and Strategic Studies in Paris. A graduate of the National School of Administration in Algiers and the School of High International Studies in Paris, Walid is particularly interested in political Islam, international security, and Turkish foreign policy. Before joining Delma, Walid worked as an independent political risk analyst for several firms based in Europe and West Asia.
