William Law is an award-winning journalist. Prior to joining BBC News and Current Affairs in 1995, he worked as a documentary maker with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. From 2002 he reported extensively from the Middle East for the BBC. In 2003 he covered the beginnings of the jihadist insurgency that subsequently engulfed Iraq. He made numerous radio documentaries in Saudi Arabia for the BBC, including the five part radio series Saudi Stories. His first visit to Bahrain was in 2007. He subsequently covered the uprisings in Egypt, Libya and Bahrain for radio, television and online.
