Professor William Maley is Emeritus Professor at The Australian National University and is the author of 'Rescuing Afghanistan,' 'What is a Refugee?' 'Transition in Afghanistan: Hope, Despair and the Limits of Statebuilding,' 'The Afghanistan Wars,' and 'Diplomacy, Communication and Peace: Selected Essays'. He and Dr. Niamatullah Ibrahimi are co-authors of 'Afghanistan: Politics and Economics in a Globalising State'.
