Inside a Global School for Integrity
The Transparency International School on Integrity trains emerging leaders to advance anti-corruption and accountability worldwide.
The Transparency International School on Integrity 2026 is a week-long, immersive program held July 13–17 that brings together emerging leaders for intensive training in anti-corruption and accountability. Designed as both a classroom and a laboratory, the School exposes participants to the latest developments in transparency, integrity, and governance across the public, private, and civil society sectors. More than a passive learning experience, the program emphasizes real-world application, giving attendees the opportunity to test ideas, build collaborative strategies, and translate theory into practice alongside peers from around the world.
Over the past 16 years, the Transparency School has welcomed approximately 2,000 participants from more than 135 countries, cultivating a global network of practitioners united by a shared commitment to advancing transparency, strengthening institutions, and defending democratic accountability.
The School’s impact extends well beyond the classroom. Alumni consistently describe the experience as transformative, reshaping how they understand corruption and equipping them with practical tools to confront it in their home countries. One frequently cited example is 2020 alum Kankanamalage Chathurangie Janithrika Jayasundara, who reflected, “The best part of the School was the fact that we could share the experiences related to the topics that we discussed. Especially about investigative journalism and anti-corruption mechanisms of different countries.”
Such testimonials continue to define the program’s legacy. Evaluations from last year’s cohort show participants reporting a measurable increase in their knowledge of anti-corruption frameworks and a strong sense that the School accelerated their professional development. By offering hands-on methods, sustained peer exchange, and a distinctly global perspective, the Transparency School equips future leaders not only to understand corruption but to return home better prepared to challenge it and strengthen the transparency work already underway in their own communities.
