Areej Elahi is a Masters in International Affairs candidate as well as an MBA candidate at the George Washington University. Prior to joining graduate school, Areej worked at a think-tank in Islamabad, Pakistan focusing her research on the socio-economic impacts of the Afghan refugee crisis on Pakistan. She has also published widely on Mic.com on issues ranging from domestic policy to foreign affairs. She is interested in the private economic development of the Asian markets. She holds a Bachelors in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Seton Hall University.
