Edwin Akpotu, FHEA, is a PhD researcher in Peace Studies and International Relations at the University of Bradford. His research explores why some interstate rivalries persist while others transform, with a focus on crisis escalation, systemic shocks, and international security. He developed the Rivalry Stability Range (RSR) framework and the concept of Rivalry Tipping Points (RTPs) to analyse the dynamics of enduring rivalries.
