Gerald Mako is currently studying for a PhD at Cambridge University in England, where he has also completed a research based MPhil. His main research area is conversion to Islam, Judaism and Christianity among the Eurasian nomads during the early Middle Ages. He is also deeply interested in the 19th-20th century historiography of the Jewish Khazars.
