At various points, Gonzalo Montes Luaces has lived in Belgium, Colombia, Spain, and France with long stays in Morocco and Madagascar. He has worked as an analyst for the private sector in a multinational company and now he is specializing in the study of dynamics of emerging and developing countries at the Institute of Geography and Statistics of France (Sorbonne University). As part of the program, he is currently working on cooperation and development projects in Madagascar.
