Debanhi S. Guerrero is a master’s candidate in the M.A. in International Affairs program at the Elliott School of International Affairs, where she concentrates on Global Governance. She holds a B.A. in International and Global Studies from Sewanee: The University of the South. Her research has focused on international human rights in Colombia, examining the complex interplay between legal frameworks and institutional actors. She has also studied China’s expanding influence in Latin America, with particular attention to how it is reshaping economic competition with the United States.
