Hanar Marouf is a PhD candidate in politics and international relations. She is a human rights activist with nine years of work experience in international non-governmental organizations focusing on democratization projects in Iraq, women rights, and youth empowerment. Marouf is the author of numerus publications in international media outlets focusing on Iraq politics, human rights, Middle East studies, and international affairs. She has launched many campaigns and organized conferences and roundtables to address women rights obstacles. She found the first English-Kurdish magazine for youth in Iraqi Kurdistan with recruiting more than 30 volunteers to enhance the freedom of speech and the freedom of expression. Marouf is an ambassador at One Young World summit.
